Decoupage on Bottle

Hi Friends,

Today I have come up with one more craft. This is the empty bottle is used for decoupage. I wanted liquor empty bottle but had no chance in getting here in my town. Its not a good idea to search for wine bottle so have to use medicine syrup bottle.

Well I love decoupage a lot after seeing the result, I am just loving it.

Here material used is all from Itsybitsy and Find Stuff (From Facebook) Thanks for the wonderful supply.

Material Used:-
(Material from ITSYBITSY)
Decoupage Paper
Butterfly
Little Embossed paper flowers
MODA ACRYLIC PAINT
Mod Podge

(Material from Find Stuff)
Green Valvet Leaves
Rose Flowers
Stone Patti/Line
Scissor

(Material from Crafters Corner
Gesso
Folk Art Paint
Modpodge Brush and
Lindy's Stamp Gang

The steps are very simple. I have used Modpodge to wrap the bottle. The pictures are easy to follow.

Suggestion/My Experience:-

I have used jute and the effect is too good but make sure you have patience to complete. It is very difficult to work on jute. It absorbs all sort of paints and you don't see any results. I was finding it difficult to even using modpodge, difficult to stick the jute. and I have used lots of Sprays and Paints, Gesso to gain the effect. I have used modpodge.

Recycled Match box

Hi! Happy Thursday to all my friends.

I have made a beautiful piece from match box. Oops! i forgot to take the pix of match box.
Well, it happens. There are so many thing around, I cannot work without messing my things.

If you see th picture I have used 3 match box, if you want more drawers then you can add on and want only 2 or 1 you can also do with it. This is also a simple and easy to make.

What all you need:

1. Match box any numbers (below is 3)
2. Glue adhersive ofcourse
3. Handmade papers
4. Paper stock
5. Quilling for emblishment
6. Beads/Pearl /crystal stickter
7. Cotton thread (You can use satin ribbon as well)
8. Die cut bird and house flowers and emblishments

I have used layers in between the boxes. The mistake i have made is i have not used a thick layer, the result two drawer clashes when open. So warning you have to be careful using a very thick layer  between the match box may be 1/2 inch or bit more. Because of all this I had to keep backside open as pulling out the drawer was difficult, its not that smooth. So It is always good if you keep some space between the boxes.

The lesson learnt.....

I have used cotton red thread to pull the drawer, you can use satin ribbon also. Also, I have covered inside the box with pattern paper. outside its handmade paper yellow one. You can use pattern paper as well.

This one what I have created you can change as per you style.

Mixed Media - Gift Box

A very new style of decorating chocolate box.

I came on Sunday again with my new work. That's the only peaceful day for me. I don't get sleep easily on Sunday, so I divert myself in reading or watching movie or Blog posting.

This is the one of my most favorite piece of work. I have used plastic chocolate box, which is now empty and I have used it for gifting it again with chocolates in it.

I do not have much picture or tutorial as I really did all kind of research and develop.so really forgot to take a few click. There is quilling, glittered flowers and leafs and stones. Used Punches and Mist.

Well I wanted to use it in a challenge but couldn't resist my temptation to share with you all.

Hope you will like it and I want all to comment because it motivates me and your words gives me inspiration. So do not forget to comment to my post.

Thank you all

Thank you all and have nice Weekdays!!!
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!

Paper Bag Tutorial

Hello Friends,
How are you doing today? Its Sunday and very hot outside. I couldn't sleep this afternoon so I thought of doing something fruitful. Well I am posting tutorial on Paper Bag which i have made for my friend's son as he has to submit the summer project tomorrow.

If you have any questions on tutorial please mail it to kalahaat@gmail.com

Here is the tutorial for you: -

All you need is
1. Paper rolls from any newspaper - 27nos. If you want bigger you can add on.
2. Adhersive / Glue
3. Paper Punch (Optional)
4. 3inch thick paper /card for base support
5. Clip.
7. Embellish.

The tutorial is very simple and easy to follow.

What I have done is I have taken 13 paper rolls for one side. You keep on inserting the tubes one after the other until 13th roll. Similarly for the another side same thing to be done.

The Below images shows the detailed process.

You keep on rolling the paper roll till 13th. You can add if you wish to make bigger bag or even reduce if you want mini bag. Don't forget to clip the circle on completion of each roll to make paper stick strongly otherwise you will totally mess with the roll.

I have made 2 such circles (Jalebi).

Take hard paper to join the two circle. Use the glue generously.  Below is the image. In each step you must use Clip.  See the sheet is cut in triangle both the sides so that twisting and turning becomes easy.

Here how it looks after joining both the circles.

Punch both the edge and with 1 roll left use it as handle.  Embelish it with flowers /glitter or any paper cuts.

Ready to go..........Happy shopping

Recycled Art -Tutorial for Coin purse

Dear Friends,

I once again welcome you to my blog with recycled art. I love recycled art as it has so much of creativity in it. These days pet bottles are very often used. Today I am going to show you i have used plastic bottles to main coin purse.

Material you need:

1. Soft drinks Plastic Bottles /Since I don't drink softdrinks I used amla juice bottle 2 nos cut the bottom as shown in the picture.
2. Scissor
3. Needle and thread
4. Zip
5. Ofcourse Glue to stick
5. Optional - Paint of your choice / laces / pearls

Start stitching the zip to the bottle taking all around. You may you the matching color thread. This thread is bit thick one and color was not tracable to me, so i had to use white.See how it looks after stitching. My thumb is still paining as i have to give pressure to stitch. :-)

The above picture show how it looks like after stitching the zip. You maycolor them or leave it as it is. I think leaving as it is looks more beautiful. So better leave as it is.

I have used lace this is optional. I wanted some girlish type to decorated with satin lace. The final touch and the coin purse is ready to use.

Start keeping coins on your desk.
